UK Black Friday is no longer a single day event – promotions spilled in to the days before and in to Cyber Monday, with some retailers calling it a Black Friday ‘week’ or ‘weekend’.
In conjunction with Toluna, global online community panel specialists, we polled over 2,400 UK consumers to repeat our annual Cyber Monday poll to measure how shopping behaviour compared to last year.
In summary, awareness of Cyber Monday has grown significantly (86%; +8% points) leading to an increase in on-the-day buyers (21%; +7% points) – nevertheless, Cyber Monday is still eclipsed by Black Friday in terms of awareness and participation.
